MEET KARINA

After our offer was accepted, we had the inspection planned for the next Friday at. We were one step closer to calling this home, and starting this new chapter of our lives. It was so exciting to go down and see the house again! We could dream a little bigger now that they had accepted our offer.

We pulled up at noon, I was checking our messages I realized we weren’t supposed to be at the inspection until 2:30 pm.  I love how God works though, because right when we showed up (way too early), the owners pulled up right behind us. It was so lovely meeting them as they will actually also be our neighbours. We chatted with them about possibly renting the house so we could all get settled before the possession date since that was 1.5 months away. They told us about the great neighbourhood and community and recommended some places for us to explore before the inspection.

We went to a place called The Gathering Place, a beautiful community park that the town came together to invest money into creating. The park was magical, with wooden bridges, tunnels, all free to enjoy for the families of Tulsa. We were loving Tulsa more by the minute!

After exploring this beautiful neighbourhood that would potentially become our community, our excitement grew even more. Going into the inspection I felt nervous, I had fallen in love with this home so I wanted everything to go well. We returned for the inspection at 2:30pm and thankfully everything checked out I was so relieved and thankful and allowed myself to fall more in love with the home.

After the inspection, we met up with another family at a market downtown for dinner. They had moved here a year ago and we were excited to hear more about the area. They were lovely, in fact, all the people in Oklahoma are so incredibly friendly. It’s been amazing to explore and meet new people, learning more about this beautiful State. We now know that God had his hadn’t in every single step of our journey. The waiting is so hard, but it’s so worth it. Stay tuned!
